Amplifying the Voices of Young Leaders

Sharing your life story can be difficult for anyone. Through “Leading with Heart: A Strategic Storytelling Workshop,” Vanguard helped Fellows of CHCI’s Virtual Leadership Institute learn how personal stories can contribute to their leadership goals; appreciate how audience composition should influence story selection and delivery; and comfortably incorporate personal experiences, culture and other attributes into their presentations. Two trainers worked with small groups to help students overcome their anxiety about speaking — and sharing — so that they could tell powerful, often emotional stories.
